News from Geodesy Cartoon Competition 2026 Austria

Dear participants,

Thank you all for the outstanding response to the Geodesy Cartoon Competition. We received 274 cartoons from 119 cartoonists across 46 countries worldwide. This far exceeding our original expectations. We received a lot of cartons by professional illustrators but also from enthusiastic drawing skilled people related to geodesy.
The jury has now completed the selection of the best cartoons. The winners and top 5 of each category have already been notified individually by email. In many cases, the rankings were extremely close, reflecting the high quality of submissions. A selection of the entries is now available on our website: https://geodesy.science/cartoon/

The top cartoons will be officially presented and exhibited at the Geodesy Reception on May 5 in Vienna, Austria. If you are in Vienna at this time, don’t miss the registration on this Wednesday April 22, the last spots will be quickly booked. The final rankings will be announced there and will also be published on our website during the first week of May:
