The great Libyan cartoonist Al-Zawawy has passed away, Sunday the 5th.
Muhammed Al-Zawawy was an artist of details and one of the famous and greatest Arab cartoonists.
He created his own unique style and sculptured the Lybian people’s identity by his brush, heart and mind.
He was awarded many awards and prizes in arts, satire cartoons and literature.
He didn’t stop drawing till the last moment of his life.
Al-Zawawy was born and raised in Benghazi 1935. He started his career in Lypian newspapers and
magazines.
He published 3 cartoons albums of his own.
