Magic and graphic fantasy converge at the 33rd Calicomix International Festival, Santiago de Cali, Colombia.
Presentation
We invite artists from around the world to transform symbols, legends, and fantastical beings into visual narratives that celebrate cultural diversity, ancestral memory, and contemporary creativity.
Objective
To bring together graphic creators from the five continents in an international exhibition and a global digital catalog.
Who can participate?
• Illustrators, cartoonists, comic artists, graphic designers, and visual artists.
• Creators of any age and nationality.
• Special category for children’s artists.
Categories
• Illustration: original works in any technique.
• Graphic narrative: comics, graphic novels, or one-page visual sequences.
Works generated with artificial intelligence are not accepted.
Theme
Magical and fantastical beings from each culture or personal imagination.
Format and requirements
• Digital (JPG, PNG, PDF), 300 dpi, maximum A3 size.
• Up to 3 works per participant.
• Each work must include a technical sheet: title, technique, author/country, character depicted, and a brief description (max. 150 words).
Key dates
• Opening: March 1, 2026
• Closing: June 1, 2026
• Exhibition: August 1, 2026
