The jury of this festival – composed of Mr. “Syed Masoud Shojaei Tabatabai” and “Maziar Bijani” from Iran and “Ivan Lira” from Venezuela – by issuing a statement that was read at the ceremony, announced the participation of 566 works from 49 countries. This statement, referring to the artistic activities in various disciplines to support the cause of the liberation of Al-Quds Sharif, called the global language of caricature a leader in this field and declared: if the criminal enemy tries to kill the Palestinian cartoonist Naji al-Ali, the voice of Al-Aqsa to silence, today tens and hundreds of Naji al-Ali are bringing the voice of resistance to the world.
Then the names of the winners and nominees of the “Third Quds Day International Caricature Festival” were announced as follows:
