Realization: Capivara Humor is a realization of the Instituto Ocellaris Escola de Arte.
Support: Instituto Ocellaris
Exhibition: The works enrolled in the competitive show will be exhibited from March 30 to April 15, 2026.
Modalities – Unpublished works can be presented in three modalities with only 01 (one) work by category.
1 – cartoon – Theme: Bipolar disturb
2 – Strips / HQ – Theme: Bipolar disturb (with the text in Portuguese or English or without text / maximum of a page)
3 – Caricature Tribute: Theme: BIPOLAR DISTURB (Celebrities or Historical figures that could have bipolar disturb)
(Limit of a vertical drawing)
4 – Political Cartoon – Theme: Free Global Participation – Artists of any nationality, amateurs or professionals,
over 18 years old. Each participant can register unpublished drawings. The drawings that have awarded is not registered until
the closing date of the registrations.
Registration – through the form in the link “Participate” / file in A4 / JPG: 300 DPI. Each artist may enter a maximum of 01 work per
category: CARTOON (graphic humor accord to the main theme), CARICATURE (graphic humor that expresses the physical and/or
personality of the celebrity), COMIC STRIPS/COMIC STORIES (graphic art in sequence. Caution: for comic stories will be accepted
a maximum of 02 pages per work, POLITICAL CARTOON (graphic humor about any Theme in the actuality)
IMPORTANT: Registration will only be made with shipping in a single message, the designs enrolled in all modalities that the artist
will participate in, added with the following information: Full Name / Artistic Name / Address / CPF / RG / Phone
Techniques – Dimension: 30 cm x 21 cm (A4). The works, unpublished, should be original. The technique is free (traditional or
digital). Works printed on couchê/A4, will also be accepted. Deliver in person. In the Atelier Laqua Parla – Rua João Carlos
Figueiredo, 94 – bairro Guabirotuba, Curitiba – PR.
The use of AI – Artificial Intelligence will not be allowed Awards: Money: R $ 1,500.00 (Fifteen thousand reais) for the first
places of each of the four (4) categories, total of R $ 6,000 (six thousand reais), R$ 1,000.00 (thousand reais) for the second place
of each of the four (4) categories, total of R$ 4,000.00 (four thousand reais), R$ 500,00 (five hundred reais) for the third places
of each of the four (4) categories, total of R$ 1,500,00 (fifteen thousand reais). Total of R$ 12,000 (twelve thousand hundred reais)
under total responsibility of the Instituto Ocellaris.
IMPORTANT:
Registrations abroad must apply for a bank with branch in Brazil.
Trophies: For the top three in each category Certificates: For the three honorable mentions of each category –there will be no more than one award per author in each category. If this happens, the award will be destined to the author who obtains the most subsequent score. – Other awards and mentions may be instituted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
JUDGMENT – There will be a selection jury and another of awards composed of qualified people from the area.
The award jury reserves the right not to allocate awards to categories that do not reach enough level, transferring to other categories or creating a special hall prize.
If the award jury finds some kind of irregularity, fraud or plagiarism in one or more registered work, it may cancel the award granting it to another artist next to its classification.
The award -winning works will be released on the official page and on the Instagram profile page of the Capivara Humor saloon after the inauguration and may be contested until a week after the opening of the hall with proof of any irregularity committed without the jury’s knowledge.
All registered works (awarded or not) will be purchased for the Instituto Ocellaris.
The works will be part of the collection of the Capivara Humor collection, which will be able to participate in traveling shows, dissemination in print, television, electronics and be published in books and magazines. When participating in the contest, the artist will be agreeing with the rules of the regulation.
By registering the author automatically transfers the assignment of copyright of his (s) works in accordance with Law No. 9610 of February 1988 (Copyright Law) in a total, universal and definitive manner in all Modalities of use and for free, the rights of author, safeguarded by the said Law referring to the award -winning work (s) at the Capivara International Humor Salon, which joins the research cultural collection and Disclosure of the national graphic mood of the Instituto Ocellaris Brasil for all the purposes of rights
that reserves to make them the use you can.
