The call for submissions for the 2025 Humor Sapiens International Award has just closed, and the finalists are selected.
105 applications were received from 33 countries, including Afghanistan , Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Croatia, Cuba, England, Egypt,
Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mexico, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia,
Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, Syria, Turkey, United States, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

While these numbers may appear modest compared to the world’s many Graphic Humor Contests, the community of humor scholars, researchers,
thinkers, and promoters is far smaller than that of humor creators—making every submission even more valuable.

“We are thrilled with the response, not only for the participation but for the outstanding quality of the candidates,” said the Humor Sapiens
team. “The prestige, excellence, and significance of the finalists’ work are truly remarkable.”
