SUBJECT: Caricaturist Raşit Yakalı Portraits

Raşit Yakalı:
He was born in Izmir/Tire in 1943, he worked as an elementary school teacher for 5 years, he started caricature under the encouragement of Semih Balcıoğlu, he was the founder of the “Çarşaf” Magazine Cartoon School and introduced many young people to caricature, he published cartoon albums titled “Çizgiyle”, “İşçi Çizgisi”, “Çizgi ile İcraatın İçinden”, “Gözlüklü Martı”, and “Günlük”.
He won awards in national and international cartoon competitions and served as a jury member, he organized Cartoon Workshop activities in many educational institutions.

We wanted to honor Raşit Yakalı for his contributions to caricature by drawing his portraits.

Last participation date is until October 15, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR CARTOONS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE COMPETITION:
1- The competition is organized on an international scale and is a single category; it is open to all amateur and professional caricaturists. 
2- The drawing technique is free. Caricatures should be in 300 dpi resolution and in jpg format, and they must be sent to the specified email address.
3- The cartoon dimensions should be at least A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) and at most A3 (29.7 x 42 cm).
4- The participant will be responsible for any possible disputes, theft, and similar claims.
5- Participants must also send their full name, address, phone number, and email address along with their cartoons.
6- Works submitted after the specified date will be disqualified from the competition.
7- The selected cartoons will be published in Tebeşir Cartoon Magazine, and copies will be sent to the authors whose works are published.
8- Participants can send as many cartoons as they wish.
9- An electronic “Certificate of Honor” will be sent to all participants. 
10- All participants who submit their works to the competition are considered to have accepted the above conditions.
