On November 17, 2025, the “World Heritage in Beijing” 2025 International Cartoon Exhibition grandly kicked off at the Summer Palace, a world heritage site in Beijing! The “World Heritage in Beijing” 2025 International Cartoon Exhibition is an important component of the “World Heritage in Beijing” cultural event. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of China’s accession to the World Heritage Convention, Beijing, as the city with the largest number of World Heritage sites in the world, showcases the vitality of Chinese civilization and World Heritage to the world through an international cartoon exhibition.
This exhibition is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage and organized by the Beijing Cartoon Society. It is another international cultural feast that integrates cultural exchange, artistic innovation, and public participation, following the “World Heritage Protection” themed series of activities.

This cross-cultural artistic dialogue not only showcases the cultural value of world heritage as a “common memory of humanity”, but also revitalizes ancient heritage through the easily understandable art form of cartoon.
This grand event is not only an art exhibition, but also a platform for exchanging ideas on global heritage conservation. This encounter between art and heritage is like the echo of a millennium long dialogue in contemporary times.
When the bricks and stones of the Great Wall meet the flowing light of vision, and when the palaces of the Forbidden City are infused with the contemplation of cartoon, what we see is not only the contemporary transformation of cultural heritage, but also a vivid proof of the eternal vitality of human civilization.
In this fourteen day cultural journey, the world will see through the prism of art, a Beijing that is both ancient and young, writing a new chapter of civilization mutual learning with an open mind.
