History has shown that art has always had an importantly constructive role in respect for human rights and peace. Universal Tolerance Organization with the aim of global peace, security and protection of human rights decided to hold a cartoon exhibition under the name of “tolerance”, which is the way to peace and democracy. The U.T.O asked every artist all over the world to send their art works through either mail or email. The UTO has received more then 700 cartoons by 235 cartoonists from 51 banner-cartoon-1-1countries. The list hereunder represents participants at the competition, though, this list is not complete and will be finalized by 10th of October 2013. Thus, those participants who have not yet sent their original works are kindly asked to do so before 10th of October 2013 the latest. The names of jury members will be announced on 20th of October through the organization’s website and Facebook page. Finally, the names of the winners in the competition will be revealed on 30th of October and subsequently will receive their awards during a ceremony on 13th of November 2013 in celebration of the international day of tolerance.
