ILLUSTRATION CONTEST EURO 2020:
For the seventh time already tschutti heftli is taking care of the artistic highlight of this major sporting event.
Since 2008 we have been publishing a sticker album of a special kind: instead of boring photographs the tschutti heftli collector’s album presents real works of art. All teams are designed by illustrators, graphic designers, cartoonists, and other artists. In order to find artists for our next album,  we are holding an illustration competition.

Category Main Competition Convince our jury that your illustrations must be part of our collector’s album by designing a portrait of a great footballer and even greater manager:
Jürgen Klopp. We want to start off the EURO 2020 in keeping with Jürgen’s motto that “together we are always stronger than apart”.  
You are free to choose how you want to do this: in 2- or 3-D, in color or monochrome, digitally or analogue, painted, pasted or drawn – whatever procedure suits you best for this task.
Hand in your work until September 30, 2019, as a PDF or JPG file in at least A4 format at 300 dpi.

Prizes Main Competition
The winners will have the privilege to design one of the teams of the EURO 2020 for our legendary collector’s album.
The distribution of the album in Switzerland, Germany, and further European countries will offer you a great platform to present your work to a large audience.
All artists represented in our album will receive a lump sum for their expenses, the amount of which will be determined by the sales figures of our album.
And lest we forget: In spring next year, the winners of the competition will be invited to a trip to Lucerne and the album’s release party, with travel expenses, board and lodging covered (around 1000 Swiss Francs/900 Euros).

Selection process Main Competition
Together, the jury members will decide on the winners of the competitions.
These artists will then be commissioned to design 11 players, a coach, and a nation’s emblem (13 images in total).
We will randomly divide the individual players (not complete nations) among the winners.
That means each artist draws portraits of players from several nations. In this way we want to visualize the diversity within the nations of Europe.
Important: The jurying will take place in November 2019.
The winners will be personally notified until the end of November 2019. From November 2019 until the end of January 2020, the winners will have time to design their main selection.

Submission deadline:
September 30, 2019 (date of receipt of email, Swiss local time, CET) Format Digital (PDF or JPG), size not smaller than A4 format, at 300 dpi Technique For the realization of the portrait, all techniques are allowed as long as there is no infringement of copyright laws.
All works must be digitalized.
Three-dimensional works must be photographed. Analogue submissions will not be considered. Submission Submissions must be sent via email to contest@tschuttiheft.li. Only one submission per participant will be considered (in the case of multiple submissions by one participant, only the first submission will be considered ). A confirmation of participation will be emailed to you within a week after your submission.
Declaration of Consent The participants agree with the obligation to design a whole Team for our collector’s album.
The price money will only be paid if the chosen artist agrees with drawing a whole
team. Further the participants are responsible to ensure that the submitted artwork does not violate any trademark, license or any other rights.
Usufructuary Right By submitting your artwork you entitle tschutti heftli the usufructuary right for any kind of use, (for example for journalistic reports, self-promotion, and / or reproductions in publications or exhibitions.) unconditionally and without any limitation regarding time and region.
Preselection In case of a very large number of submissions, tschutti heftli reserves the right to present the jury with a selection of the submissions drawn up according to our qualitative standards.

No correspondence will be conducted about the contest. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded. Submissions only by email to contest@tschuttiheft.li stating first name, last name, address, phone number, email and date of birth.
