REGARDS FROM INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST AND GRAPHIC HUMOR – “NOTICARTUN COLOMBIA” 2016

Receive Noticias de Cartoon Colombia, a very special greeting, I take this medium to share with you a topic of common interest, as is the caricature and graphic humor. I tell them that “Noticartún” is an exclusive blog on these issues in Colombia (the truth is the only one), that for almost 8 years longer works, providing information 6 days a week of achievements, awards, exhibitions, publications and events knowledge of the country for themselves and foreigners. So this time, I share the two covers of the 2 editions of INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST AND GRAPHIC HUMOR – “NOTICARTUN COLOMBIA” – (2014-2015). These contests are born with the idea of paying tribute to the great masters of the Colombian cartoon. The first edition paid tribute to José María Espinosa (1793- 1883), historically considered the first figure visible in the country in this field, also made the army of the independence era and creator of the graphic image of the liberator Simon Bolivar and the second year, Mr. Alfredo Greñas 1857-1949 famed caricaturist opinion and gainsaying the government of then and this 2016 is preparing to pay tribute to a historic third artist, which will soon be revealed. There is also a special category of cartoon

In 2014, more than 100 works made consideration of 62 cartoonists from 25 countries were received and top 3 in each category, five honorable mentions both caricature and humor, 2 awards for national and 2 online awards were handed out. In this first edition winners tribute to Espinosa issue they were:

FIRST PLACE Vladimir Kazanevsky (Ukraine)

SECOND PLACE: Carlos A. Gomez F. “ANT” (Colombia)

THIRD PLACE: Valeriy Chmyriov (Ukraine)

2 MENTION: Louis Pol (Australia)

3 MENTION: Luc Descheemaeker “O-SEKOER” (Belgium)

Jurors were: Raul de la Nuez (Cuba-USA), Alberto Martinez “Betto” and Juan Camilo Lopera “Júcalo” of Colombia.

They competed for a diploma online, but in the end by a personal effort could send an acrylic plate to the first 3 in each category

In 2015, almost 200 works by 85 participants from 32 countries were received the same amount of prizes to the following participants were given
