the Golden Jubilee Competition for the October Victory/2023 EGYPT
In celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the October 1973 Victory, the caricature memory Project, affiliated with El-Sawy Foundation for Egyptian caricature heritage preservation, announces a competition in the fields of caricature drawing and portrait caricature, under the title: The Golden Jubilee of the October 1973 Victory, according to the following rules and conditions:
Competition Objective:
– Celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the October 1973 Victory.
Competition Themes:
1: CARTOON
– The Victory.
2: Portrait caricature
– One of the heroes of the October 1973 Victory, and the artist is allowed to choose more than one hero from the October 1973 Victory to be in one painting.
Competition Conditions:
– Participants can submit one work in each field.
– Works must be sent in JPEG, 300 dpi format.
– Painting size must be 50 × 35 cm and must not exceed 2 megabytes.
– Participants must send a short CV and a personal photo.
– The artist’s name and country must be written on the submitted painting according to the following model:
ABDALLAH EL-SAWY-EGYPT.
Important note:
– Works must be new and have not been previously submitted in any other competitions.
– The works of participating artists can be used in posters, magazines, newspapers, and websites inside and outside Egypt without prior permission from the participating artists, for the purpose of promoting the event.
– The organizing party has the right to exclude works that do not comply with the competition conditions and are inappropriate.
Deadline for receiving works: August31, 2023.

Competition Awards:
– The winner of the first place in both competition fields will receive an original caricature drawing of the late Egyptian and Arab caricature pioneer: Alexander Saroukhan (1898 – 1977), presented by his family, and a certificate of appreciation.
– The winner of the second place in both competition fields will receive a portrait carved out of leather, created by the world-renowned Egyptian artist: Noubi Badea, and a certificate of appreciation.
– The winner of the third place in both competition fields will receive a copy of the latest editions of the Caricature memory Project.
– Five encouragement Awards will be awarded in each competition field in the form of a certificate of appreciation.
– All participants will receive participation certificates, and an exhibition for the best works submitted to the competition will be held; the announcement of which will be made at a later date.

احتفالاً باليوبيل الذهبي لنصر أكتوبر عام 1973، يعلن مشروع ذاكرة الكاريكاتير، التابع لمؤسسة عبدالله الصاوي للحفاظ على تراث الكاريكاتير المصري، عن إقامة مسابقة في مجالي الرسم والبورتريه الكاريكاتيري، تحت عنوان:
اليوبيل الذهبي لنصر أكتوبر 1973، وذلك وفقًا للضوابط والشروط الآتية
الهدف من المسابقة
– الاحتفال باليوبيل الذهبي لنصر أكتوبر 1973.
موضوعا المسابقة
أولًا: الكارتون
– النصر
ثانياً: البورتريه الكاريكاتيري
– أحد أبطال نصر أكتوبر عام 1973، ومسموح للفنان باختيار أكثر من بطل من أبطال نصر أكتوبر على أن يكونوا في لوحة واحدة.
شروط المسابقة
– المشاركة بعمل واحد في كل مجال.
– ترسل الأعمال بصيغة
JPEG ،dpi 300
– حجم اللوحة 50×35 سم على ألا يتجاوز حجم اللوحة 2 ميغابايت.
– يرسل المشارك سيرة ذاتية قصيرة وصورة شخصية.
– يكتب اسم الرسام والبلد في الرسم المرسل طبقًا للنموذج التالي:

تنويه هام
– يجب أن تكون الأعمال جديدة ولم تشارك في أية مسابقات أخرى.
– تستخدم أعمال الفنانين المشاركين في البوسترات والمجلات والصحف والمواقع الإلكترونية داخل مصر وخارجها؛ بدون الحصول على إذن مسبق من الفنانين المشاركين، بهدف الترويج للحدث.
– يحق للجهة المنظمة استبعاد الأعمال التي لم تلتزم بشروط المسابقة والغير لائقة.
الموعد النهائي لاستقبال الأعمال: 31 أغسطس 2023.

جوائز المسابقة
– يحصل الفائز بالمركزالأول في قسمي المسابقة على رسم كاريكاتيري أصلي لرائد الكاريكاتير المصري والعربي الراحل: ألكسندر صاروخان (1898 – 1977)، مقدم من أسرته، وشهادة تقدير.
– يحصل الفائز بالمركز الثاني في قسمي المسابقة على بورتريه من الجلد المقصوص، من إبداع الفنان المصري العالمي: نوبي بديع، وشهادة تقدير.
– يحصل الفائز بالمركز الثالث في قسمي المسابقة على نسخة ورقية من أحدث إصدارات مشروع ذاكرة الكاريكاتير.
– يتم منح خمس جوائز تشجيعية في كل قسم من أقسام المسابقة عبارة عن شهادة تقدير.
– كما سيتم منح جميع المشاركين شهادات مشاركة، وسيتم إقامة معرض لأفضل الأعمال التي شاركت بالمسابقة؛ سوف يتم الإعلان عنه في موعد لاحق.
