RULES

Dear cartoonist

Our international cartoon contest with the theme “culture connects people” has ended.

377 cartoonists from 61 countries participated. Together they provided us with 1.025 cartoons.

We are very pleased that we could also receive one or more submissions from you.

Selection

Our professional jury will now start viewing and assessing all the cartoons.

They make a selection of the 30 best cartoons and select the prize winners. There are three main prizes and a prize for the best Flemish entry.

The 30 selected cartoons are part of an expo that will tour through Flanders from April 1 to October 23rd 2022 at 45 locations. All these works are also published in a brochure. The name of the cartoonist, country and name of the work will always be mentioned, both in the exhibition and in the brochure.

The last prize, the public prize, will be announced at the end of the expo tour, based on the nominations of all visitors to the expo.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony will take place during the opening of the first expo on Friday April 1st 2022 in Deinze.
The 4 laureates, as well as all cartoonists selected for the expo, will be notified personally.
