I am preparing for the Night of the Museums in the month of November a tribute to Carlos Nazca better known as the “Gaucho Relampago”. Carlos Nazca was an Italian who immigrated to Buenos Aires in 1880.
In the Buenos Aires city he fell in love with the circus, the horses and the tango. The story goes that, in love with tradition, he was always dressed as a gaucho.Carlos Nazca came from horses to circuses between the years 1880-1900, later he formed a tango orchestra and published ERA records between the years (1900-1915), in those first Argentine pasta records there are recordings made by his Rondallas, with themes of waltzes, mazurkas and tangos, in addition Carlos Nazca made on his record label It was the first recordings of tangos, discs by Angel Villoldo, Los Gobbi, Sassenus, tango orchestras such as Arolas, tano Genaro, Firpo and Canaro made their first recorded songs at ERA. ! a little known treasure! In that frame am organizing an exhibition of cartoons and graphic humor in his honor. Unfortunately there is not much documentation on Carlos Nazca (El Gaucho lightning), I only got a couple of old photos … there are very few …
It will be a great honor to be able to count on your help and receive before July 31, 2021 a cartoon and tango cartoons that make allusion to the Gaucho Relampago, the circus, the Era brand records and the old guard tango (First era).
I enclose what little I got in photographs, the 20-year-old Nazca photo and another at 40 when he was a radio amateur.Another piece of information, in the records that he published appeared on the label a drawing of the gaucho lightning on horseback, a ranch and his dog.
